Description: On the Friday before Forgiveness Sunday, the St. Nicholas Choir invites you to a choral preview of the music and services of the journey of Great Lent. We step outside of the structure of the services to focus primarily on the music itself; this is not just a performance, but an educational and spiritual preparation for the weeks ahead. We hope that by hearing these hymns tonight, presented with explanation and context, you will be better prepared to encounter them again in the coming weeks and appreciate the profound prayers they carry.
